Freedom Boat Club Hosts FREE “New Boaters Experience” On October 3 Throughout SW Florida

Venice, FL, September 9, 2015 – If the idea of boating on the spectacular Southwest Florida waterways appeals but you don’t have a clue how to get started, Freedom Boat Club’s “New Boaters Experience” offers a free introduction to boating fundamentals.

On Saturday, October 3, Freedom Boat Club will host complimentary boater education experiences at three of its 14 SW Florida club locations in Bradenton, Punta Gorda and Ft. Myers. Each event features a maximum two-hour on-water training segment aboard a Freedom Boat Club boat, under the direct supervision of a licensed Coast Guard instructor. Participants are taught basic boat handling skills while on the water and seated at the helm, on a 1:1 personalized basis. In addition, new boaters are introduced to pre-launch boat check-out and boating safety procedures.

“We have nearly 30 licensed captains on our staff and we firmly believe in the importance of boater education and boating safety,” said Freedom Boat Club CEO and President John Giglio. “Our recently launched New Boater Experience is expressly designed to provide a welcoming and stress-free introduction to boating basics for those with the desire to learn.”

Two-hour training slots are available in each location on a first-reserved basis. Times include 9 am, 11 am, 1 pm and 3 pm. Each club boat will accommodate a party of up to four adults, 21-years or older.

“This is an ideal opportunity to get on the water and learn the fundamentals of boating,” said Freedom Boat Club’s Director of Training Steve Jacobs. “Up to four people participate in each session and each will have an opportunity get behind the wheel and drive the boat.”
