Freedom Boat Club Launches A Summer Series Of
Free “New Boater Experience Days”

Venice, FL, May 11, 2015 – If you’ve ever wanted to experience boating but didn’t know where to turn, Freedom Boat Club is offering a free introductory program to the local community.

As the world’s oldest and largest boat club with 10,000 members nationwide in 19 states, Freedom Boat Club is all about the boating lifestyle. With a fleet of 850 boats and 86 franchise and corporate-owned clubs coast-to-coast, Freedom Boat Club attracts an enthusiastic mix of newcomers to boating as well as former boat owners and seasoned salts. Training is a core component to the company’s successful membership programs.

“Southwest Florida has some of the most beautiful boating waterways in the entire world, so we are very excited to bring a complimentary taste of boating to those living here,” said Freedom Boat Club CEO and President John Giglio. “The New Boater Experience Day series has been designed to introduce boating basics to those who have never enjoyed boating and who want to learn more.”

Initially, Freedom Boat Club is hosting two free “New Boater Experience Day” events in two select club locations including Bradenton and Ft. Myers Beach. Each event is designed with a specific training focus and features up to two-hours on the water aboard a Freedom Boat Club boat. Participants are taught basic boat handling skills on a 1:1 personalized basis while seated at the helm, under the direction of a licensed Coast Guard instructor. Participants will also be introduced to pre-launch boat check-out and boating safety procedures.

“Our objective in hosting the event really is to show firsthand how much fun boating is and how easy it is to learn with a few fundamental skills,” said Freedom Boat Club Training Director Stephen Jacobs. “Based on the outcome of our first two new boater training days, we’ll determine whether to offer this as an ongoing community program.”

Initial dates include Monday, June 1 in both Bradenton and Ft. Myers. Start times include include 9 am, 11 am, 1 pm and 3 pm. Advance reservations are required and available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Each club boat will accommodate a party of up to four adults, 21 years or older.

To book your free “New Boater Experience Day” training at either Bradenton or Ft. Myers locations, call toll-free (888) 781-7363.
