Harbor Fuel Dock

Our preffered fuel dock, when entering scituate harbor continue to the west end of the harbor and follow the channel past mill Wharf Restaurant. The fuel dock is located directly past the Restaurant. Please confirm their hours and contact info with our Dockmaster.

Mill Wharf Restaurant

Located right behind the Scituate Harbor fuel dock, Mill Wharf Restaurant sits on the site of the original harbor mill. The panoramic views allow for a commanding view of the entire harbor. Watch commercial boats returning from days at sea, charter captains bring in their awe struck party and all other boaters inbetween.

They have inside seating as well as a outside deck, all availabel for lunch and dinner daily.

Minots Ledge Light

When departing Scituate Harbor, Minots Light is located to the north and is clearly visible on most days.

First built in 1847 as a metal legged structure the light only lasted a few years. In April of 1851, a massive spring storm brought seas and winds that wreck havoc all over Boston Harbor. The light foundered that night and 2 of the light house keepers were also lost.

The Current Light was built several years later and become one of the most expensive lights to ever be built in the US.

North River Spit

The North River is located a few miles south of Scituate Harbor and holds some of the most beautiful and most dangerous shore line in the area. The mouth of the river is ever changing and can be exceptionally torrent and dangerous when the tide is falling and the wind is on shore. Be cautious when entering and be cautious of all the markers, always be on the lookout for shoaling that may not be marked. This area though can be a great spot to spend hot summer days. At low tide, much of the shoals become exposed, creating what is called the Spit. These sandbars are an excellent spot to anchor up and pull up a beach chair, play beach games and relax. When anchoring be cautious of the tide making sure to keep your vessel from getting beached or dragged by the river current. Please check with the dockmaster before heading out we can offer you a second anchor to help position the boat and give some excellent advise.
