Rusty Pelican
Conveniently located at the home of Freedom Boat Club Miami, right at the Rickenbacker Causeway Marina, just as you come on to Virginia Key. Start or end your day of boating right here! Featuring breathtaking scenery, this longstanding Key Biscayne institution has a casual, nautically themed interior and is known for their wonderful seafood dishes such as tasty seafood pastas, stone crabs in season, and classics like shrimp scampi. Steaks and salads are also available on the menu. They are open daily for lunch and dinner.
Bayside Marketplace
Some say Bayside Marketplace has the best food, fun and shopping Miami has to offer. What is certain is that there are exotic restaurants, daily live entertainment and national brand-name stores that offer something for everyone. Bayside Marketplace is more than just a shopping complex, however. Because of its picturesque location on Biscayne Bay, private boats dock there frequently along its Quay Wall. Most of the restaurants and bars stay open later than the stores. There's Lomardi's, Bubba Gump Shrimp Co., Hooters, Hard Rock Cafe, Fat Tuesday, Captain Joe's Seafood, and Let's Make a Daiquiri.
Event Calendar
Fishing
Miami offers what many anglers considered the most prolific fishing grounds in the world. During winter and spring months, split the day and fish the morning for sailfish and kingfish and finish the afternoon searching for tarpon. The late spring and summer months usually bring southerly winds and gentler seas, offshore species like dolphin, wahoo and tuna are migrating past Miami and Miami Beach. A day of live bait fishing offshore can be most productive this time of year. Miami also has a tremendous swordfish population, fishing on a balmy night should produce some exciting swordfish fishing action.
