Lake George

(Lake George, NY)

Welcome to Freedom Boat Club Lake George, where we make boating simple! Here at Freedom Boat Club, we believe that spending quality time with family and friends is the most important thing in life. Our goal is to facilitate that quality time by removing the hassles and headaches typically associated with our favorite recreational activity – boating. NO cleaning, NO maintenance, NO storage....NO worries! If you’re like us and think that there is nothing more valuable than being out on the water with those closest to you, I look forward to showing you how we've made that a reality day in and day out for over 17,000 members across the country since 1989....all for less than the cost of a seasonal dock rental. Join the club and have access to a fleet of new, name brand boats on Lake George as well as reciprocal use of over 150 Freedom Boat Clubs around the world. Membership is easy. Pay a one-time initiation fee and annual dues and do all the boating your lifestyle can handle!

Your experience begins when you arrive at the marina and our friendly dock staff is there to assist you with getting your things from your car to your boat, which is clean, fueled, and ready for you to enjoy the day. After a quick check out process, you are off, exploring Lake George or hitting your favorite swimming, fishing, or dining spots. When you return, you'll complete the check in and be on your way to enjoy the rest of the day while we clean and fuel the boat. Boating has never been easier, or more fun!

Not a rental....We buy new boats every year and the pride of ownership extends to our members meaning you will always have clean, well-maintained, new or like-new boats at your disposal.

Not a fractional ownership....You are not buying into one boat, you are buying into a fleet of boats. Going fishing? Take out the Key West bowrider. Bringing the kids or grandkids on board for a leisurely day in Sandy Bay, the pontoon is for you. Not sure what you want to do but you know you want to look good doing it, our Regal 23 OBX's will do the trick. We have a boat to match any activity and group.

Owners Rebecca and Matt O'Hara launched Freedom Boat Club Lake George in 2016 after deciding to leave the corporate world and share their passion for boating and Lake George with those who otherwise could not fit the boating lifestlye into their lives. Our goal is to get you on the water and to help you discover the best way for you to enjoy the boating lifestyle. Call, email, or fill out our contact form and we will get in touch with you to see if the club is the right fit for you.

About Lake George

32 miles from tip to toe, and 3 miles wide at its widest point, Lake George has something to offer every type of boater.

Bordered by the Adirondack Mountains, Lake George provides a beautiful backdrop for cruising and taking in the mountainside scenery. Lake George water is classified AA-special, safe to drink, and perfect for a swim on a hot summer day. The two story fishery features both warm water and cold water fish. Anglers enjoy bringing in Landlocked Atlantic Salmon, Lake Trout, Northern Pike, Pickerel, Perch, Smallmouth and Largemouth Bass. Watersports are a popular pastime on the lake and the flat, calm mornings are a great time to enjoy skiing, tubing, and wakeboarding.

Lake George is home to over 300 islands and 109 miles of shoreline, packed with plenty of picnic areas and boat up restaurants to feed hungry first mates.

Lake George Village and Bolton Landing provide an array of landlubber activities to do before or after your outing. Shops, restaurants, arcades, and historical sights make for a fun day for the family on and off the water.

'Lake George is, without comparison, the most beautiful water I ever saw; formed by a contour of mountains into a basin thirty-five miles long, and from two to four miles broad, finely interspersed with islands, its water limpid as crystal and the mountain sides covered with rich groves of thuja, silver fir, white pine, aspen and paper birch down to the water edge, here and there precipices of rock to checker the scene and save it from monotony' -  Thomas Jefferson

What Our Members Have to Say

‘Joining the boat club was the best thing we've ever done. The fact that we can get out on the water in new boats without the cost of ownership is truly amazing. The staff at FBC-LG are great and make you feel very comfortable. Wish we could have done this years ago.’

‘My membership was enhanced and enjoyed mainly due how the staff treated members with such courtesy and professionalism.’

‘My wife was trying to get me to purchase a boat for 12 years and then out of nowhere, FREEDOM BOAT CLUB ARRIVES. New boats, no fueling, no maintenance, no winterizing, no power washing, no issues and oh yeah, they valet your car too. Never had issue getting a boat any day I wanted. Great club!!!’

‘Our experience with freedom boat club has far exceeded our expectations and made for one of our best summers to date. We found great value in the training experience, and also enjoyed frequent tips from Matt and the staff about where to tube, waterski, and just relax on the lake. Getting in and out was fast and easy because the boats were kept in great shape and the staff was always prepared for our arrival. We were especially impressed with how well the staff interacted with our kids, making the experience not only safe and fun, but also personal.’

‘The perfect solution for someone who does not own a boat but loves to get out on the water. Can't wait to use my Freedom Boat Club membership in other locations.’
