What were your early or initial concerns or objections about Freedom Boat Club?: My early concern was the cleanliness of the boats. That has not been an issue with any of the boats I have been on.
How would you describe your experiences since becoming a member?: I love it! We are new to the area and this is an excellent way to enjoy the Indian River and meet new friends. The social events are well thought out and lots of fun. The owners and staff are delightful, friendly and helpful. The other boat members are friendly.
What has been the biggest surprise about being a member of Freedom Boat Club?: How easy it is to be a new boater. I did not boat often in my previous life. With the Freedom Boat Club, I go to boating, knotting and docking classes to learn all I need to know to be an educated boater. I joined the Diva group, which is fun and educational. It is hands on training. I boat and learn with other women. We have lunch too!!!
What do you like best about Freedom Boat Club?: Convenience and cost! Being retired I wanted less responsibility, not more. To own a boat for us would be too costly and too much work. The Freedom Boat Club provides additional benefits, other than access to a boat when we want (of course you have to plan ahead and reserve), it also provides instructions, clean and well maintained boats, social events and the opportunity to meet others with the same interests.
What would you tell someone who asked for your opinion about Freedom Boat Club?: That it is an excellent deal for the price. The Fort Pierce Freedom Boat club has a quality program. I am out on the boat probably more times than some friends who own their own boats. Financially, my money is not tied up at a dock. The "Freedom" it gives me to boat and not be doing all the maintenance or chores is worth it!
Is there anything else you'd like to add?: Thank you to Anne and Don and the whole staff at the Fort Pierce Freedom Boat Club.

What were your early or initial concerns or objections about Freedom Boat Club?: I was concerned there may not be a good variety of boats. Not a problem, there is a great variety of boats and they are always in great shape.
How would you describe your experiences since becoming a member?: Well, I just finished my first season with Freedom Boat Club of Fort Pierce. I can't begin to tell everybody how pleased I am. Prior to joining Freedom I was in two separate boat clubs in the area, each one for two seasons. Freedom has them beat hands down. The location is excellent. Right on the Inter Coastal at Fort Pierce City Marina and with great access to the inlet. The dock crew is always friendly, helpful and professional. For the six months I was a member I never had a boat not ready and I never had a boat that was not clean. Finally, both Ann and Don do a terrific job weather it's planning special events of just keeping things running smoothly.
What has been the biggest surprise about being a member of Freedom Boat Club?: How well run the operation is. Especially the checking in and out for the boats. It saves a lot of confusion and misunderstanding.
What do you like best about Freedom Boat Club?: The variety and condition of the boats.
What would you tell someone who asked for your opinion about Freedom Boat Club?: Unless you're going to boat at least three times a week you are much better off joining Freedom Boat Club than owning your own boat.

Ft. Pierce City Marina

Fr. Pierce City Marina is located on Florida’s Treasure Coast where you, not only find some of the best fishing and boating experiences, but you can also enjoy a wealth of history and fun within walking distance of the Marina.

The Marina is in close proximity to what has been known as “the best all weather inlet on the east coast” and it is protected by a new Storm Protection System.  It has been host to many fishing tournaments and offers a choice of 2 on-site restaurants right on site for your convenience.

You can disembark and explore the downtown area on foot grabbing some freshly grown fruits and vegetable as well as many other hand made specialties at the largest Farmer’s Market.  You will also come across the Sunrise Theatre, fishing on the jetty, museums, and the park.

Summer time waters are a beautiful blue shade and boating is magnificent whether you are taking an early morning fishing trip as the sun rises or watching the dolphins swim along your boat as you cruise up or down the river.

We are thrilled to be Freedom Boat Club of Ft. Pierce and hope you will join us as well!
