Wassaw Beach
Wassaw Beach on Wassaw Island is beautiful. Wassaw is the most unspoiled of Georgia's barrier island. This National Wildlife Refuge, accessible only by boat, offers biking, hiking, surf fishing, bird watching, sea kayaking, diverse wildlife and, of course, the beach.
Isle of Hope
Isle of Hope is just a short ride south on the ICW to Marker "46A". Along the banks you will see many historic pillared Victorian homes. Some of these homes may look familiar because they have been used in several movies.
Tybee Island Light Station
Tybee's Light Station, built in 1773, is Georgia's oldest and tallest lighthouse, and one of America's most complete historic light stations. It has been guiding mariners safely into the Savannah River for more than 270 years, although it has been rebuilt several times.

Fishing
Savannah is known as the 'Hostess City of the South' with a beautiful historic downtown area and home of a major import/export seaport on the east coast. Savannah has hundreds and hundreds of miles of water ways within the Chatham County area; there is abundent and excellent fishing all year round in the Savannah, Wilmington, and Bull Rivers. South of the area is the Vernon River, Little Ogeechee River and the Big Ogeechee River which emptys into Ossabaw Sound.
Fishing Savannah you will enjoy miles of Intercoastal Waterways bordered by shallow mud flats extending 15 to 30 feet out from shore.
The Sound area holds a great variety of all types of fishing. Some of the fish that you can catch include trout, Spanish mackerel, tiger fish, cobia, blues, triple tail, jack crevalle and stripers, sharks, flounders, and redfish.
Check with the dockmaster for the hotspots only known by the locals.
