Location: Perdido Key, Florida
Freedom Boat Club of Perdido Key:
Casual, relaxed and rich.
European explorers settled Perido Key in search of gold and other riches. What they found instead was a wealth of unspoiled beaches, bayous, and wetlands. The same ones that continue to keep visitors coming back to the area today.
Located on one of the barrier islands protecting the Florida mainland, the Perdido Key location sits among white sand beaches and rolling dunes covered in sea oats, making it a favorite destination for swimmers, sunbathers and boaters.
This is a place famous for its casual and relaxed atmosphere where boaters can kick back and enjoy everything from cruising the coastline to watching the many shorebirds and other wildlife that call this island home.
Whether it’s entering the numerous annual fishing tournaments, watching the Blue Angels Air Shows, marveling at the infamous Interstate Mullet Toss and Beach Party (held every April) or dining at the Famous Flora-Bama Restaurant and Lounge, Perdido Key offers a rich boating experience.

Testemonials:
I have been a member of Freedom Boat Club for approximately 2 years. We have a condo in Perdido and considered buying a party barge or deck boat to use while at the beach. However, the cost of storage and insurance alone nearly equaled the monthly dues at FBC. When you take into account the down-payment on a boat, the monthly note, upkeep, etc., it was a no brainer. Also, I am not restricted to a single boat/style.
I was a little fearful about having too many members and too few boats, but FBC continues to add boats to the fleet as the membership grows. The service at the club is great. The staff is courteous and dependable. I have had no trouble making reservations, and most of the time (excluding holidays of course), I can show up at the club and there is a boat available, even without a reservation.
In short, I have been very pleased with FBC and would highly recommend to anyone who is considering purchasing a boat.

Joining Freedom Boat Club at Perdido Key has been perhaps the single best decision we made after deciding to move to a condo on Perdido Key. Being on the water and having the availability of a permanent boat slip meant that having a boat was a given, since we had just moved from a lake home where we lived for 20 years.
Since we are retired, we began the process of deciding what type of boat we wanted (Suzanne likes portioning, I prefer cruising and fishing.), what we could afford, all related expenses, such as outfitting, insurance, maintenance, purchasing a slip, etc., and what would we do with the boat when storms of hurricanes threatened or when we were away for extended trips.
We visited a nearby marina early in our research and Freedom Boat Club of Perdido Key was there. We stopped in knowing "nothing" about them, but after talking at length with Morris Hines, we left with the realization that we could "own" lots of different types of boats, use them virtually any time we wanted, never have to buy, outfit and maintain one and never worry about storm preparation. AND the boat would be fully gassed, at the dock, cleaned and ready to go at our convenience, and taken care of when we returned.
The best part is that after we crunched numbers in buying and owning a boat, joining Freedom Boat Club and having a boat to use any time we wanted was going to cost a FRACTION of what owning our own boat would cost. We did the math and we became believers!
To Suzanne and me the cost and concept of Freedom Boat Club "sounded" fabulous, but would it be as good in practice as it sounded? Yes, absolutely! Why? The staff! Not only are the boats prepped and ready as promised (Thanks Kyle!), but the staff can train you, check you out on different boats, give you trip suggestions, fishing reports and much else(Thanks Brandon!). They go out of their way to make your day on the water fun and worry free. This isn't hype; this has been our experience!
Without question, joining Freedom Boat Club at Perdido Key has been a very significant factor in our retirement enjoyment and our love for the Perdido Key lifestyle!
Sincerely,
Suzanne and Tony Dew tonydew@hotmail.com
