Welcome to Freedom Boat Club of Newburyport, the intelligent and affordable alternative to boat ownership.
We are located at Hilton's Marina (54 Rear Merrimac Street), which are the docks located in front of The Black Cow Restaurant directly on the Newburyport waterfront.
Our members enjoy unlimited use of our full fleet at both our Newburyport and Portsmouth locations, as well as reciprocal use to 63 other U.S. locations. This gives you a number of great boating options locally while also allowing you to explore new waters when you are traveling.
Our members simply call or go online to reserve the boat and the day they want to go boating. When they show up, the boat is warmed up and ready to go. When they return, they simply hand us the keys and walk away! There is no maintenance or repairs to worry about, no insurance payments or storage costs to pay for, and definitely no cleaning. FBC is boating at it's best!

Add your boat to our fleet
We are currently looking to buy, lease or trade for late model boats. Why not let us maintain your boat and pay your boating expenses? When you add your boat to our fleet, you can still use your boat plus gain access to the rest of our fleet as well. We are looking for 22'-27' late model boats (2005 or newer) to increase our fleet. We are especially interested in center consoles and cruiser style boats. Please give us a call if you or someone you know is or could be interested.
Boating Requirements
Persons 16 years of age and older may operate a motorboat on Massachusetts' waters without any boater education requirements.
