Welcome to Freedom Boat Club of Ft. Meyers:
Balmy, secluded and clear.

Members at this club relish in the peaceful seclusion of nearby beaches and islands.  Whether it’s the serenity of Picnic Island (accessible under the Sanibel Causeway via Marker 101); the warm gulf waters and ideal shell-hunting of Lovers Key Beach (just south of Salty Sam’s); or the clear waters and playful dolphins of Hickory Island (south through Estero Bay toward New Pass), you won’t be disappointed.

A special attraction of neighboring Sanibel Island is one of the only working lighthouses on Florida’s west coast, which still provides a clear beacon for many nighttime boaters.  And you mustn’t miss Grandma Dot’s restaurant, just before the Sanibel Causeway Bridge.

Boating Requirements

Effective October 1, 2001, a person 21 years of age or younger may not operate a vessel powered by a motor of 10 horsepower or greater unless such person has in his or her possession aboard the vessel photographic identification and a boater safety identification.
