Location: Plymouth, Massachusetts
Welcome to Freedom Boat Club of Plymouth:
Storied, charming and bountiful.
The calm waters of Plymouth, Kingston and Duxbury Bays lead to charming
Cape Cod Bay and its equally charming towns. Thanks to the "upturned
arm" of the Cape, boating waters here are protected from the tumultuous
Atlantic.
Within the shelter of these bays are a multitude of recreational
possibilities. Whether your idea of a perfect day on the water consists
of cruising tranquil seas with the family, anchoring on a pristine beach
and having a barbeque, fishing for trophy Striped Bass and Bluefish,
digging the many flats for Clams and Quahogs, or waterskiing and tubing, these waters are the place to do it.
Once out into Cape Cod Bay, even more options become available. Nature's bounty is evident at Ellisville Harbor State Park, a 101-acre scenic
shoreline perfect for hiking, bird watching and beachcombing.
Neighboring beaches include Nelson Beach, Stephen's Field Beach, and
Plymouth Beach, which is a great spot for viewing the traditional cottage
architecture, Saquish Neck or Manomet Bluffs. Or perhaps you'll just
want to drop anchor on Brown's Bank and go for a swim!
Another of the countless highlights is the opportunity for whale watching.
Members might spy humpback whales, fin whales, minke whales, northern
right whales, Atlantic white-sided dolphins, harbor porpoises, pilot
whales, and harbor seals from Stellwagen Bank, a marine sanctuary and
feeding ground.
Want a change of scenery? Members of Freedom Boat Club Plymouth are also entitled to unlimited use of the Freedom Boat Clubs in Quincy and
Beverly, giving even greater opportunities to explore the waters of
Massachusetts.
