Welcome to Freedom Boat Club of Clear Lake!
Clear Lake is known as a destination for year-round fun-in-the-sun. As the third largest boating center in the United States, the Clear Lake area offers the option of enjoying the protected waters of the lake or venturing out into Galveston Bay, or even fishing in the Gulf of Mexico--there are endless boating opportunities here! Members can go sailing, cruising, water skiing, fishing, swimming, and photographing, to just name a few.
And on dry land there are also countless opportunities for fun. Antique and souvenir shops, delicious seafood restaurants, parks, and more. Afternoons can be spent visiting the Kemah Boardwalk for a ride on the ferris wheel or the Boardwalk Bullet (roller coaster), or enjoying of the many festivals or events. Space Center Houson is home to several NASA Space Shuttles as well as a museum that is fun for all ages. And beautiful Galveston Island is a great destination--by land or by water--any time of year!
The Clear Lake area also offers activities and events to suit any taste, from Mardi Gras in the spring, to the South Shore Dockside Food and Wine Festival and the Christmas Boat Lane Parade in the fall and winter.
Clear Lake is a destination of ample opportunity, offering space on the water, as well as the option of exploring space itself.
