Known as The Gateway to the Gulf, Bonita Springs boasts pristine beaches and islands along the Gulf of Mexico, as well as a vast system of freshwater lakes and streams.
Here you can find sun-filled activities, from boating to fishing, and shelling to golf, on a number of barrier islands. Beaches on these boat accessible islands include Dog Beach, Lovers Beach and Barefoot Beach.
The protected waters of Estero Bay make a perfect playground for assorted water sports if you want to liven up your experience.
Boating Requirements
Effective October 1, 2001, a person 21 years of age or younger may not operate a vessel powered by a motor of 10 horsepower or greater unless such person has in his or her possession aboard the vessel photographic identification and a boater safety identification.
