Location: Portsmouth, New Hampshire
Welcome to the Freedom Boat Club of Portsmouth, the intelligent and affordable alternative to boat ownership!
Portsmouth, N.H. sits near the mouth of the Piscataqua River, a short, wide river that divides New Hampshire and Maine. Settled in 1623, Portsmouth claims to be the nation's third-oldest city. It served as a focal point on the Eastern seaboard until the late 1800s when rail travel did in the shipping industry.
The elegant seaport of Portsmouth is one of the most culturally rich destinations in the country with a stimulating mix of historic buildings, sidewalk cafes, great restaurants, art galleries, jazz clubs and distincitive artisans' boutiques. It was named as one of the Dozen Distinctive Destinations by National Trust for Historic Preservation.
Members of FBC enjoy the opportunity to boat out of both our Portsmouth and Newburyport clubs allowing them to explore the unique natural sites, islands, and beaches at each location. Popular trips out of Portsmouth are cruising to Great Bay, exploring the Isles of Shoals, making the run for lunch or shopping in Ogunquit or Newburyport Harbor, or fishing at one of the local hotspots. Whether you are launching from our private facilities on Sagamore Creek in Portsmouth or Hilton's Marina on the Newburyport waterfront, FBC is conveniently located for any escape.

Add your boat to our fleet!
We are currently looking to buy, lease or trade for late model boats to increase our fleet. Why not let us maintain your boat and pay for your boating expenses? You can still use your boat plus have access to all of our fleet as well. We are interested in boats that are in the 22'-27' range (2005 and newer) and are exceptionally clean. If you or someone you know has a boat that fits this above description and would be interested in putting a deal together, please give us a call to discuss our options.
