Learn About the FREE Unlimited Boat Training Program!

At Freedom Boat Club, we are all about safety for our members.

Everyone is required to complete basic training before they can book a boat from our fleet. Unlimited training is a free service with your membership.

When you join our club, we schedule a convenient time for you to meet with one of our 24 licensed Coast Guard instructors for 1:1 training. You first participate in a classroom-style training module where we review general boating rules and club protocols including boat check-out procedures. The on-water session involves basic boat handling strategies under the direction and guidance of our instructor.

Throughout the process, you may ask as many questions as needed, and our instructors will spend as much time as necessary to ensure your confidence at the helm. We also provide an advanced offshore training class.

Whether you join the club, or choose to rent or purchase a boat, we highly encourage your investment in boater education. We also offer occasional “New Boater Day Experiences” for the public; and we also partner with the local Power Squadron to teach its on-water classes.

A safe boater is a happy boater!
