Freedom Boat Club To Relocate To Beverly

SALEM

The Freedom Boat Club, the world’s largest members-only boating club, will relocate from their Danvers location to the Beverly Port Marina, allowing FBC members more direct access to the open water, a selection of casual dining restaurants within a quarter miles distance, as well as the same service and commitment members are accustomed to receiving.

Freedom Boat Club’s largest franchisee, the Carrick Group, has nine locations in Massachusetts — Boston, Beverly, Quincy, Hingham, Scituate, Chatham, Falmouth, East Dennis and West Dennis.

The relocation to the Beverly Port Marina site is Freedom Boat Club’s second new location in five months, having opened a location in Chatham in the summer of 2015 to its members.

“We are excited to be able to offer this option to our members,” said Matt Carrick, Freedom Boat Club franchise co-owner. “This move will not only give us room to grow and continue to add to our fleet, it also will cut down our members’ no wake time on the river by 90 minutes round trip, adding to their net boating time out on the water.”.

Carrick also said the Beverly Port Marina location will be home to eight to 10 new boats, including an array of Key West Center Consoles.

On the east coast, a new Freedom Boat Club franchise debuted in June at New Smyrna Beach in Florida. More than 30 FBC locations are in the state of Florida alone and nearly 100 nationwide.

Other 2015-launched franchise locations include Fort Lauderdale, Stuart and Deerfield Beach in Florida; Brick, New Jersey; St. Joseph, Michigan; and Huron, Ohio.

Additional new Freedom Boat Club locations confirmed to open include Lake George, New York; Deep River, Connecticut; Miami; and a second corporate-club location in Ft. Myers Beach.

“The idea behind Freedom Boat Club has really taken off,” Carrick said. “I have a lot of members who are excited to fully take advantage of the Beverly Port Marina location as well as the many opportunities available to them around the country.”
