" I really went in fully knowledgeable about the benefits this club would offer our family. As a former boat owner for 30 plus years, I knew that I no longer wanted the financial and physical responsibility that private boat ownership entailed. I really love the boat club and utilize my membership ALL year. Captain Jim. And Chef Mary make everything so easy. We take out our friends and family, especially grandchildren, and the boats are stocked with ice and chill mats when we arrive. I was surprised at how easy it was to get a reservation for my boating needs, with the vessel that matched my plans for the day. Whether tubing and skiing on the speedboats, or cruising. and lounging on the deck boats, the requested boat was available. Another surprise was the ease with which we could use boats at other locations. We have gone on Lake Michigan, Lake Erie, and numerous times at 4 separate locations in Florida. In March we will probably try the Gulf coast, out of Tampa. Also, every place lets us take our dog along. In Florida, every restaurant we stopped at allowed our dog! What I like best is the "freedom" to enjoy boating without the responsibility of boat cost, fees, upkeep and maintenance of the boat and upkeep or rental of a dock. I love that I can utilize boats in so many areas. Next winter looking forward to boat hopping along the gulf coast. This membership has been the best thing about our retirement (also in 2016). For the first three months of retirement we were renting boats to the tune of $50 an hour. I spent more money in three months renting boats, then my monthly fees for 6 months with the freedom boat club. Thank you, Jim and Mary for making our Lake of the Ozark experience so wonderful, and for your help with the reciprocal reservations". Deborah Ockrim - Osage Beach, MO
"My wife and I joined last year. Absolutely incredible! Boats are immaculate and you have different sizes and styles to choose from. This is sooooooo much better than owning and having to store, insure, and maintain my own boat, for a fraction of the cost. I could not recommend them more. Jim and Mary are good folks, and always treat us like family" Tony Bonney - Eldon, MO
"We have always had the boat available that we wanted to reserve... the staff is great"
Joe Pashman - Sunrise Beach, MO
"The reservation system and check-out process is extrememly efficient... love the Club... the staff is always ready to help"
Mike Austerschmidt - Osage Beach, MO
"FBC frees us from the chores and expenses of owning a boat... our experience has been outstanding and we highly recommend Freedom Boat Club"
Ralph & Anna Caruso - Lake Ozark, MO
"Selection of boats is perfect for this lake, the reservation system works like a charm"

USA Today: Lake of the Ozarks Best Recreational Lake
Information about Lake of the Ozarks
The Lake of the Ozarks is the Midwest's premier lake resort destination attracting over 5 million visitors annually. The lake offers world-class boating, fishing, golfing, and shopping. The serpentine shape of the 92 mile main channel has earned it the nickname “The Magic Dragon”. The 1150 miles of shoreline offers a wide variety of waterfront accommodations, restaurants and recreational venues. Especially within the first 30 miles of the lake which is developed with condo complexes, resorts and impressive homes. The Freedom Boat Club at Lake of the Ozarks is conveniently located within this zone near the Grand Glaize bridge at the 19 mile marker. Also close by is the world famous Party Cove where you’ll see 3000+ boats and their revelers tied up on most any given Saturday in the summer.
Fishing Description: The Lake is loaded with a variety of fish species: largemouth bass, spotted bass, black and white crappie, blue catfish, channel catfish, flathead catfish, white bass, hybrid stripers, paddlefish, walleye and bluegill. Most species can be caught year-round; they just change their habits depending on the season. For example, most of the year walleye, paddlefish and white bass are scattered throughout the Lake. But in the springtime, because they are migratory, they tend to congregate in the upper ends of the Niangua, Gravois or Grand Glaize arms.
