St. Margaret's Bay and Halifax Harbour

Love the thought of having a boat but don’t want the cares of maintaining, cleaning, and storing it? Freedom Boat Club is what you have been looking for. We are the world’s largest members-only boating club and have been helping members enjoy true boating freedom for 30 years since 1989. As a Member, you have unlimited use of our fleet of quality boats that are always clean, fueled, safety-equipped, and ready for you to enjoy. Simply reserve your boat on-line and your boat will be waiting for you. Take your friends, family, and even your pets out on the water and enjoy! After a day of fun, head back to the dock, pay for the fuel used, and continue to enjoy the rest of your day. Leave the rest to us!

St. Margaret’s Bay Location

Our Club is located at Shining Waters Marine overlooking spectacular St. Margaret’s Bay. With coves to enjoy cruising or watersports, sandy shores to enjoy a picnic lunch, and great fishing options, the possibilities for fun in the Bay are practically unlimited! Head down the coast and see the Nova Scotia coastline from the water – amazing! Perhaps you would like to duck into Hubbards or Chester, for example, and tie up overnight at a local dock, stay at a cozy inn or bed and breakfast, and enjoy some fabulous seafood at a local restaurant. Freedom Boat Club Nova Scotia opens up a whole new world of memories made on the water!

Fleet of Boats

Our fleet at Shining Waters features a beautiful Glastron Deck Boat (GTD 220), perfect for cruising or watersports or swimming, and a stunning center console Cobia 220CC - perfect for cruising or fishing. Our boats are fully equipped with safety equipment and navigation tools.

To use our vessels, members simply access our user-friendly on-line reservations system right on their cell phone or computer and reserve the boat they want at the time they want it. If it is ‘spur of the moment’, members simply call or come to the dock and, if there is a boat available, it is theirs to enjoy. The boats are always clean, fuelled and waiting, ready for our members to enjoy – no maintenance to worry about, no insurance payments, no trailering, no storage costs, and definitely no cleaning. We take care of everything! That is why Freedom Boat Club is Boating Made Simple.TM
